Hi.
My name is Lejanet. But since you’re checking me out, you can call me Lj.
I’m a creative director by way of copywriting. I’ve spent the last decade in the advertising world working on everything from shopper marketing to social strategies to Hispanic and multicultural campaigns. I’ve won a few awards here and there, but I still think that the best part of this job is seeing my work out in the wild.
I’m a creative at heart, but I have an affinity for smart strategy. Ultimately, I see my job as doing whatever it takes to make a great story come together.
Before advertising, I worked in editing, which left me with a great appreciation for punctuation and proofreaders. And before that, I was an archaeologist, which left me with an interesting fact about myself to bring up at cocktail parties and office icebreakers.
If you want to collaborate or talk shop or just say hi, send me an email here.

After taking some time off to have twins, I currently freelance as a writer and creative director. I multitask between a variety of projects for both agencies and brands in between running after two very rambunctious toddlers.
I embodied the NCL brand voice as a senior strategic writer and created witty and dynamic social, digital and direct-to-home executions. As the lead writer for the newest ship, I developed an award-winning launch.
As the lead creative at Boden Agency, I worked on HCM social media and PR for McDonald’s, Target and Unilever. I helped start and build the creative department and was instrumental in pitching new business.
I helped build the shopper marketing department at Bravo where we focused on the Hispanic shopper. I was the lead creative for multiple shopper marketing, social and multicultural campaigns.
As the lead writer and ACD, I helped create dynamic and effective shopper marketing campaigns for Procter & Gamble brands at Walmart.
As the main writer, I helped develop global, US Hispanic, and LATAM shopper marketing campaigns for brands such as Diageo, Koleston, Pampers, and Coke.
During my introductory job in the advertising field, I learned how to create brand identities and build multi-media campaigns.
I edited and proofread author manuscripts for publication in academic and global markets.
As a graduate student, I worked as TA in the anthropology department where I developed and taught labs and sections.
I worked with the senior dade county archaeologist on various digs and preservation projects throughout south Florida.
